Hi!
I'm from Russia and own this car  http://photofile.ru/users/g_nine/1416121/
Its not in a very good condition, but...
So, I want to lower it and make it emmm.... sticker (?)- I mean I don't want to fly from left to right seat wile turning (hope you've uderstand me). Its rather easy to make this on the front suspension- just cut soil springs. But on the rear it (my car) has leaf springs  http://photofile.ru/users/g_nine/1416133/ Thats why I have no idea how to low it and make stick.
We don't have no modifyed springs for this car, but some say that this leaf springs could be changed with springs from another car.
Still, I really want to know is there any way, to make this (stock I mean) springs lower and sticker?

Thanx

For the leaf springs, you could try removing a leaf or two from the entire leaf spring to get the car to lay lower. Although cutting the coils in the front and removing a leaf from the rear will make the car very bouncy.

I'm not sure what you mean by sticker? Do you mean as in hugging the road better through turns? If so, cutting the suspension will probably not accomplish that. If you mean sicker by being low - then yeah, cutting coils, removing a leaf from the rear - will make the car lower. The ride just won't be all that great.

Also, finally got the picture to load. Since the leafs are underneath the axle already - you can simply put a 1 or 2 inch block between the leaf and the axle to help lower the car.

Actually, I really want it to be lower and to "hugging the road better through turns"!
Well, I asked about this in some other places and most of people told me to use lowering block!
I guess I should try it!
Still thaX ya very much!

volv_lo- that sounds great, but there is no hydraulics in Russia... may be there somne of them, but still I want to lay low and drive fast!

volv_lo: It's "slow n low, that is the tempo..."

G9: Yeah, blocks are the easy way to go. You can also cut/weld the hangers for the leafs to - if there is room to do that.
