Hey I have a Honda Prelude and I was originaly thinking of putting bags on it but now some people have told me to go with air cylinders. I dont know much of anything about those or what I should do here. I wanna be able to drop and raise up the front and back each seperately. Anywhere from 2-5 inches would be good. I dont know much here bro so help me out.
P.S. low budget so the cheapest thing to do is best

Most air is cheep but for imports its hard to custom build .For you vehicle ther is custom bolt on kits . thats the easy and cheepest way to go. In Trucken mag theres tons of adds for bolt on's.

Dude, you will have to run cylinders with instead of bags with a honda. For some reason bags just don't work on hondas. You can get a cheap manual setup. It will raise and lower more than 5 inches, however, it may not be fast. You can go electric and add speed, as well as adding compressors, tanks, etc. It's limitless man.

The Lowrider Haven Honda Civic had bags and the car drove extremely smooth. We have also had the chance to drive a car with air cylinders and that car drove a little ruff.

Excentrix auto carries both the bag setups and air cylinders setups. Both have pros and cons. Call and ask for more information and then make your own decision. Air cylinders are a little stiffer but the bags have more exposed - especially in the front.

In the first week we had both front bags blow because they rubbed in the front. This had nothing to do with installation - just an awkward design. We had to grind down part of the front suspension arms to get plenty of clearance. The car then drove for 8 months and another 30k miles with no problems.

Check out this site, and be sure to tell them Lowrider Haven sent you.

Standing corrected, may I ask what rating bags you ran? Also the setup? Just out of curiosity and for future reference. Also, if you have time, have you had any personal experience with air bag struts?

As posted, both systems were from Excentrix Auto. Both were high quality systems and each performed better than expected. Personally, I would go with the cylinders for a safer setup - but the bags definitely were smoother. It may not be the same for every car - but check out the site and give them a call.
