I live in Cape Town, South Africa, and I'd like to put my '68 Pontiac on hydraulics, or air bags. We don't have suppliers down here, could anybody advise a DIY system? I don't need to hop, merely up and down when I park etc.

simply up and down huh, you want this set up. 1 pump, 2 dump, 4 cylinders 8",all hoses. this will get you front, back,& pancake. you can order any where.
to get some good juice 4 batteries 6 solinoids. connecting cables. set up itself you can get for $500. baterries $60each solinoids $8
