I have a 63 impala that I would like to get wheels and then eventually bag. My question is does anyone know what the biggest size of wheels I could get on it, and still be able to sit it on the ground once it is bagged. I think 18's would be the size I would get but would they fit? Also what would be the offset of these wheels? Thanks!

I have a 64 impala that is bagged. The two are quite similar so I might be able to help. If you're gonna wanna run something big you're either going to have to cut out HUGE gaps out of your inner front fenders or remove them and fabricate some cross members to your quarterpanel. However, in the rear is a different question. You may be able to go big, but wide is another story. You might have to do a littel work back there. But if you want to lay low with big wheels, BEFORE you bag it, consider notching out the hump over your axel and doing a little reworking to the front.
