Since I can not find a set of drop spindles for a 72, I would like to put a 94 to a 97 ram 1500 front end(wheel to wheel) on it. Can this be done and if so should I also take the steering system. Any ideas. Thanks in advance for any advice or pointers.

WOw good question. I think your only going to find out with you try it yourself. Air ride technologies makes some funky stuff for some older hot rods. check out their web site.
www.Airride.com see if you can find anything there or call them. I wouldnt be surprised if you find something that will work there. dean
