shadow1 -> My nissan truck cab (1/17/2002 1:17:00 AM)

I have a 1990 nissan hardbody, standard cab. Also I have two 12's that wont fit in the cab. I have decided to cut out the back of the cab, and the front of the bed to mount a box facing into the cab. I think I am going with a plexiglss box, and a r.v. boot, or gasket for between the cab, and the bed. All this is no problem, and I am aware of the dangers of cutting a hole in the cab. What I was needing to know is where could I find some kind of step by step, or instalation tips, or anything that would make it go a little easier. thanks shadow1

I had an 85 s-10 with the same design.2 12s in a sealed box that fired into a smaller chamber that fired through the wall of the truck.The hole was only 12'' by 12'' .you can go bigger for a nicer look but I found the smaller holl the better sound. Its almost acting like a port so its important to keep the size in conjuction with your subs.Now its easyer than you think to do this.All you do is find the centre of the cab wall meausure your cut in line so its centred with the cab.Find someone with a sabre saw drill a pilot hole and away you go.The most important thing to remeber is if the box for the subs is not sealed fully into the cab then its not worht it youll lose alot of bass. to achive the perfect seal build the box through the hole leaving no room for air to escape
