So I' m looking for the ' clean' look... I' m going to get a piece of sheetmetal welded to my box to make it flat, remove the base, amd just clean it all up. And I' de like to hide my compressor, air tank, battery(ies), under the bed on the frame (ya know). So basicaly I need to be able to move the truck box to access them, and I was thinking, " If i' m going to go all the way, put in 100%" and I want the bed to tilt off...

Imagine this, looking at it from the drivers side, I want it to flip away and to the right. Sorta like having it hinge up at the rear, passenger side tail light. Any suggestions?

Do I need a hydraulic arm (like on a van rear door), any help, or pointing me in the right direction would be great. Thanks

A hydraulic cylinder of some sort would work good. Maybe something that tilts the cabs off of delivery trucks. I have seen a few of these done (tilted in different directions. Definitely reinforce the bottom of the bed to keep it from twisting. Also, depending where you install the hydraulic on the frame, you may need to reinforce that area as well. The hinging can be accomplished several ways - maybe some else can post their experience with that.
