Afternoon ya' ll - I have a ' 72 sprint that I' m restoring, and by the looks of the mostly import posts, I' m not sure I' m even at a board that would apply to me - but here goes. I want to put a system, not flashy, and manually powered is fine, that would allow me to lower my currently " stock suspension" Sprint by 2" to 3" , and raise it (the rear at least) by app. 1" to 2" - for a lower stance, or increased rake as the time calls for. If any of you have advice on systems to use, rough estimate on cost, and whether the best time to install would be when i' m doing a frame-off resto or not, that would be great. Thank in advance for your time.

you posted in the air bag section, but here goes. Hydro' s are not meant to " Slam" a vehicle without other components ie. spindles, flip kit, etc they will lower it some however. A simple 1 pump set-up will give you what you are looking for. Hydro' s might not be for you if you are having traction problems like you said in your earlier post. You might want to look into a system called " Shockwaves" . These are a system that is meant more for handling but still have adjustabiltiy at the flip of a switch. I know several guys with this set-up that have VERY built motors and they love them. Try checking out places that sell air set-ups.

Hydraulics are and can be very reliable when installed properly. Here's a book with some more information and if you have any questions, post 'em up..
