Kinda a sparse forum but here goes -
' 72 GMC Sprint (think elkie, but funner name) - Right now, there' s a problem with slip, and sway, and loosing traction in the back (on turns). So, I was thinking I' d go the route of Murcielago designers, put a pair of ait intakes in the front ' neath the bumper, and route it along the chassis, beneath the body panels, and out the back either up form the wheel well, or just infront along the inside of the bed. Need to know if anyone has any sort of experience with this, or knows the formula relation for shape/size of intake/tubing/outlet to maximize downward force gained at round 60-90. I know its along shot - but hey, worth taking. Thanks.

Are you saying that your losing traction at 60mph? You got bigger problems then just down force. You may need to look into weight distrbutions. Just a thought.

Not really loosing, mainly just on harder turns - but it would be more useful at high speeds as well, as they/it tends to catch a fair amount of lift. At higher speeds 90+ on the strip theres a fair amount of instability on a straight line course.

Are you saying that it' s floating over 90 in a straight line? If so what does that thing weigh and what' s under the hood? The last car I helped a guy that had the same problem was a police model Caprice Classic( the newer body) It would float the rear over 100. We did a static drop 2" up front and he had put air shocks in the rear and rode them lower then factory. It helped out alot, but it didn' t cure it completely. I just don' t think that body mods are gonna help out that much under 100 mph or so. It might though you never know.

i have heard of this happening wit elcaminos, and it has somethin to do wit the weight distrobution in the front compared to the rear, its kinda like a 2wd pickup in the snow, as with fixin the problem id do exactly what GTphelps did to the caprice and if that doesnt work than im stumped.
