Hey everyone, I' m brand new.....I like the site-it' s got a few too many ads but overall it' s pretty sweet. Anyways let' s get to business......

I currently own a black 1985 chev monte carlo(amoung other cars). It' s fully loaded BEAUTIFUL interior and even a sun roof. However this just isn' t enough for me. I' d like to make this car one helluva pimp ride, however I have some questions. I' d like to make this thing bounce and get ALOT of air(meter plus/rolling) and put up one wheel(while rolling), etc. I want this car to be hella amazing. Money is not an issue...so here are my questions:

1)Hydros or Bags?
2)What brand, models, etc? Can I get any information on it?
3)Besides reenforcing the frame what other modifications will I have to make to immplement the system?
4)How hard is it on tires?
5)How reliable is the system?
6)Are there anyways besides enforcing the frame to keep the car from falling apart?(I' ve heard it happens)
7)How much roughly am I looking at(just a rough idea just make sure you leave the currency type)
8)What all will I need?
9)Will I need to rip up the interior?

1. Hydro' s without a doubt, for what you are wanting to do with it.
2. You are gonna need top of the line gear no matter what brand you go with. If you want height and durable then don' t look at anything other then competition models. I would say check the big names like CCE, Pro Hopper, etc., do a google search on hydro kits.
3. The best advice I can give is to re-enforce everything. Just keep boxing frame and beefing everything up. You are gonna have to run chains to stand 3' s.
4. Think about your question. It is very hard on the whole car! A tire is not meant to have 1500 lbs. bouncing on them like that. And I am being nice on the weight numbers.
5. Reliable is gonna differ by quality of install and how well you take care of any make. I run CCE and have had almost no problems with it. My buddy runs ProHopper and has tons of problems, now he hops and I don' t so my system doesn' t get the abuse like his.
6. The best way not to break it is not to do it. But if you must then keep it in mind you will break something. So you have to be ready for it. Just work hard to make your whole car as strong as you can.
7. I have about $1300 all togther in my system. But that was cheap. And that was just the system. Are you gonna install it yourself? If not then double the cost of parts(rough estimate). That is US dollars, where are you at?
8. A HYDRO KIT! [8D]
9. You can fit the stuff in the trunk, you won' t have much of a trunk left though. You shouldn' t have to rip up the interior at all unless you want to. I wouldn' t though. But hopping may bounce out that sunroof you were talking about.

Okay I guess I' ll throw out round two......
1b)I live in Canada and it snows about 2 feet a year.....I wont be driving it during the winter(for obvious reasons) but I will be moving it in and out of my garage so I can also do work inside the garage(helps in -40)....will I have to worry about anything if I leave the car outside the garage for 5+ hours?
2b)are there any resources on keeping the hydros clean to *partially* prevent breaking and stuff?
3b)What are the most common things to go wrong with the kits? I mean the frame of the car isnt a big thing cause I' m pretty good at welding but just so I dont have to replace half the kit every week or I prepare my wallet for it....
4b)I plan on getting it professionally done but I' m curious how hard it is because I might do it myself.....?
5b)Now I own a 97' souped mustang GT so I have quite a bit of experience with burning off tires and such([;)]) but my main concern are the rims in this case. I have 4 24k gold plated rims picked out with white walled tires and I dont really care how much abuse the tire gets but I just dont wanna **** up the rim.....is there a big chance I' ll blow a tire or something and **** up the rim?
6b)do you know if theres like reenforced(super thick) rubber tires that can maybe handle the stress a bit better?
7b)I have about 8k Canadian to blow on the system-I' ll probably drive the car 2-3 times a week and will probably end up showing off in parking lots(maybe for girls at a stop light or while pulling up to the school or something)-would that be enough money(it' s about 4-5k american) to get a reliable system that can take a good beating?
8b)do you have any websites with other resources?
9b)Is there anyway i can check the system before I go out or while I' m out to make sure I dont have a sudden failure?
10b)do you know any sites I can go to to get custom switch boxes?

I tried using google but I either get porn or ricer websites[:@]


Now this is unrelated to hydros but I might as well throw it out so I dont have to make a whole other topic to justify it.......but my buddy wants to throw bags into his 96' Tahoe LS-and he wants like a super fast inflating system, but also something that can withstand winter.

There was a Civic at Slamfest this year that was getting mad air from bags - could still be an option.
