i currently own a clean, stock 88 monte carlo LS. how much $ and time am i looking at to slam it, staticly, on 18' s or 20' s. also, can i go larger than 20' s?
i don' t want to cut the bosy or frame up too much....i' ve also ripped out the anemic 4.3L, replaced it with a 302ci, do you know the motor i' m talking about? from the scca trans-am, Z-28? i believe they were only offered in ' 73, but i' m not sure. nevertheless, i' ve been looking for some go-fast goodies and i can' t find ANYTHING for that motor. it has pleanty of punch already, but i' m never happy with ' good enough' . just looking for a small super, maybe lookin to rip that engine out in a few years anyway. would i be better off to wait for a few months, save my money, and drop in a crate 502ci? i' m not sure, i' m kinda new at this....any help would be appreaciated.

thanx

First off, try www.jegs.com, jegs has all sorts of stuff for your ride. I want to see somebody have the guts to drop in a 571 big block, 700 h.p. out of the box baby!!!

But if you aren' t gonna use a motor that is matching #' s then just go as big as you can. It may cause more headaches squeezing it in but you' ll thank me later.

As far as wheels, I' m not sure on that one. Just gonna have to search jegs and see what you can get for suspension first. But with a big block, I wouldn' t run a 20. You' ll wind up with rubber bands for tires and have NO traction. Try to find a size that will leave you a tire with some sidewall.
